It was fun to meet the new staff that God has provided for this school year and hear their stories how God guided them to Faith Academy. Though we wish there were more, God has provided what we need. We are still praying for a middle school staff who is still raising her support for her and her family. More recently, God provided another lady to work in the middle school.

This year, our administrators chose the theme for our school: In Christ, we do hard things. Before school started, we were refreshed as a staff by a pastor from California. He challenged us from the life of Moses, weaving our school theme into his sessions. It was really good to get away for a while and spend time together as a staff and renew our friendships, make new ones and spiritually prepare ourselves as we serve God by our ministry with the students and their families and ultimately furthering God’s work here in Asia.

Abby and I recently got back from our high school retreat. It was a good time for the kids to bond together, as well as make some new friends. They had some activities as a class and also with other classes. They were challenged spiritually by a youth pastor.

This year we started a new program at FA called LEAP: Learning English for Academic Purposes. It is for students with a lower English proficiency and targeting students who are unable to get a Christian education in their home country due to persecution. Our goal is to train the future leaders of these closed countries. Pray for these new students as they adjust to a western school setting–a huge cultural adjustment.

Thank you for continuing to support us through prayer and giving financially. We are humbled and thankful for each of you.
