\"Walter<\/a>First quarter has come and gone. Abby only has a couple weeks left of volleyball. Since this is my first full year as middle school principal, I will not be coaching this year, but I know I will be peaking my nose in the gym a few times.<\/p>\n

First quarter was filled with activities and meetings. In our last email we mentioned our Barkada Bash and Friendship week. We will post some pictures on our web site soon. Dressing up crazy each day and the crazy games on Field Day were a highlight for all.<\/p>\n

We have several new students this year and some were enrolled quite late into the quarter.\u00a0 As I mentioned before I read many emails each day, and some are encouraging. I want to share excerpts of one email: \u201cWe believe strongly the choice of Faith Academy is an answer to our prayers\u2026We cannot express in words the joy we feel in our hearts, to have the assurance that our children are in an environment where they would be taught to be Christ-like … Allow us to share the transformation we saw in the first day of school. Our child asked to change his youth Bible to an adult Bible, then we noticed this morning he has put a sticker next to his bed \u2018in everything you do put God first.\u2019 We cannot ask for more in this partnership of raising our kids, we know you have the children\u2019s best interest at heart. We thank God for leading us to Faith Academy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Parent\/Teacher Conferences were last week, and they are quite different as a principal; but I had a couple great \u201cconferences.\u201d One mother, new to FA, sought me out to express her gratitude in words similar to the email mentioned above, and I laughed when another mother came to me stating that her daughter wanted her to simply meet the MSD Principal, the daughter is doing well at school but wanted her mom to say, \u201cHi\u201d to me.<\/p>\n

A praise item is that our visas have been approved! Pray that I will have a great flight and be challenged at the administrator\u2019s conference in Malaysia at the end of October.<\/p>\n

Continue to pray for my brother-in-law, Doug. I was able to call my sister yesterday and found out that they have not been able to treat his cancer yet. They are more concerned about his swollen legs as he has a blood clot. Pray that the medicine will dissolve the blood clots and that his health will improve so they may address the cancer.<\/p>\n

Please continue to pray for our monthly support; it has actually dropped since we returned to the Philippines (currently at 51%). But we are so thankful that you faithfully pray for us, and that we serve an omniscient, omnipotent, loving God who will meet all our needs.<\/p>\n
