As I mentioned in our update letter, we’d have a video here and quite a few pictures to share with ya’ll! The last 2 months have been a time of adjustment and learning for our family. Most of the pictures speak for themselves, so I’ll let them do what they do best!<\/p>\n
Aute is our primary language helper. He’s an exuberant man who’s energy seems to have no bounds. A lot of language learning is simply listening to and telling, or trying to tell, stories about every day life. On this particular day we’d purchased a coconut from the market, and since I’ve never opened one we asked Aute if he’d story how he opens it. He storied about not only opening it, but also about uses for and how he’d use one. It’s a good taste of the pidgin language we’re learning.
