As we near the end of our language and culture studies, we started to take the next step, a literacy program. We are still in the development stages, but it is exciting to finally start doing something else besides language learning. And, it is even more exciting to think about the day the Glarro will be able to read God’s Word in their language. So far the students have shown a keen interest and quite some progress has been made. Soon we will have some graduates!

This is encouraging to our Co-worker Lesley as well, who continues to work on the Bible translation. Speaking of Co-workers, we are thrilled to have a new family join us in the work from next month on. They already arrived in Liberia, and soon will move out to our village with us.

Right now we are buying supplies and getting ready for the next several months in the bush. We always find different or new things in the supermarket here in Monrovia, imported from all around the world. Here we came across some off-brand cereal bars from Germany. Still those imports are often only occasional treats, as they are priced pretty high.
