Fresh from the sawmill….

September 2, 2016 by Aaron and Amy Speitelsbach

carring Boards for Burkheads house It has been a while since our last post. And lots has happened. The good news is, that we did not get lost in the jungle. 🙂 Although, every now and then even a local gets disoriented while out in the jungle hunting and a search party is sent to find his whereabouts. Usually though, he finds his way out himself, after spending the night hungry in the jungle….

Early 2016 our new co-workers arrived in our village, and we helped them get started. In the picture you see some of the boards that we made and had transported out of the jungle to construct their house. By now, the roof is on….

Right now, they are on home assignment but they will be back early next year to start their culture and language learning. Yet there is also more work to do on their house before it is livable. Besides doors and windows, a toilet and kitchen would help tremendously. In the meantime we have hosted them in our house and will do so again when they are back. We are excited to have someone help share the work in the ministry.
