Accompanying other missionaries

May 18, 2019 by Alberto and Nancy Gonzalez

During the month of May we traveled to jungle, a small town on the east side of our Colombia where some missionaries are working with the Cubeo tribe. We evaluated and guided them in language learning, culture understanding and church planting. We want to thank you for your prayers for this trip. We could see Lord’s wisdom in every step of the journey. Here are some snapshots of our wonderful time there.

Cubeo Team

Left and right, Yokima and Nelly the missionaries. In the middle three Christian indigenous. They are working together to translate some portions of the bible to Cubean language. Once those translations are ready, they will start to prepare the lessons to evangelize the Cubean community.

Evaluation time

The language evaluation is done with the support of a native Cubean lady (on the left) who also speaks some Spanish. Nelly (in the middle) is going to finish her language studies at the end of this year. Praise the Lord!

Traveling to the village

We had to navigate on the river for half an hour to get to the village. Yokima (in the middle) is the captain of this vessel. What a brave lady!

Alberto, encouraging the team.

Being there is always a wonderful opportunity to motivate and inspire the team to continue this very demanding work.

Blessings,

Alberto y Nancy Gonzalez
