Yes, it’s true.  Classes have begun & our semester is off to it’s start.  I never did say what we decided about Brazilian school, did I?  Well, it turns out that we decided to enroll Josiah in classes at the private, Christian, Brazilian school and keep Ethan & Summer home.  The older two have a lot of work to keep up with so they will be at the same level/spot as their classmates (at PQQ) when they join them in Jan.

Right now this is what our sech. looks like….

Wake up at 6 a.m.

Josiah is off to school at 7 a.m.

Joel & I walk Ethan & Summer to Joel’s aunt’s house (about a 10 min. walk) where she watches them for us.  She also helps them with Spelling & some reading (such a BLESSING!!!).  This is from 7:35-11:30 a.m.

Josiah comes home about 12:10/15 p.m.

We eat lunch.

Rest time till 1:30 or 2:00, depending on how our day has gone so far. 🙂

Homeschool time begins after rest-time and goes till about 5:00 p.m.

Which brings us to dinner time….sometimes the kids play a game with Joel, sometimes they help me cook, sometimes they just play, or sometimes they watch a movie while they wait for dinner.

Dinner is usually over by 6:30/7:00 p.m.

Then it’s shower time, teeth brushing time, clean-up their room, etc.

At 8:15 the kids get in bed.

Joel reads a story while Angela cleans up the kitchen & does the dishes.

Then it’s time for Joel & Angela to do their Portuguese homework.  We are also encouraged to watch the news, sports, or something to hear more Portg.

Needless to say, at the end of a typical day, we are pretty tired.  Espically when you add in the heat, high humidity, the fact that Joel has to carry water from a well for us to drink.  We have to walk most places & carry our grocries home….it’s just ALL so different than what we are used to. 🙂  We do praise the Lord that we had a chance to slowly get used to these sorts of things.  Living down south was not as difficult, but it was a step in this direction.  And we have been blessed….someone gave us an AC to borrow.  We use it in our bedroom.  We were also able to buy one for the kids’ room for really cheap.

So all in all, things are going well.  We are VERY BUSY, but we are just trusting that the Lord will give us the strength we need to make it though this different times.
