School has started & we are now “In Full Swing.” Things are going well…Joel really enjoys the days he gets to do science experiments with the 3rd & 4th graders. I have to admit, since he often brings the kids to our house to do the experiments, it has become a family & class thing. 🙂
Right now it’s rainy season, so it’s been nice and ‘cool’ (80’s). However, this weekend Joel & I are accompanying the 6th-8th graders on a camping trip. I am praying that the rain will hold off those days…and the sun will even warm us up a bit….but don’t tell. Most others here don’t feel the same way. Ha!
This past weekend the school had V-day parties for the students. The H.S. students were in charge of doing the party for the Elem. students. They did a ‘carnival.’ It was lots of fun. I almost beat Joel in arm wrestling!
Not! But I did have fun trying.
Joel & I were actually in charge of the H.S. party. We had them do a digital picture scavenger hunt…where they have to go take pictures of certain things. We also played a couple of other games & of course had some YUMMY snacks. Again, it was a lot of fun…and we were glad to get the chance to interact with the students in this fun manner.
A HUGE PRAISE we have is that Joel has been going on Outreach the last couple of Sundays. We are really excited about him getting involved with sharing the gospel with the local Brazilians along the river. We hope to eventually make this a family event.
Okay, I guess that’s it for now. Thanks for keeping up with us…we covet your prayers.
