Right near our jungle house here lives 30+ year old Roberto, a single man and Captain of his Cubeo village. Because his village lives sandwiched in the middle of Guanano speaking territory they are very multi-lingual and speak Guanano almost as well as their mother tongue, Cubeo. Roberto was born and grew up during the time that we were learning Guanano and the Guanano church was born. The Cubeo missionary team also moved into his village for a short time back in the 1990’s. So the gospel influence has made Roberto very open to things of God and he cooperates in every way that he can with Christ’s work. Our fellow missionaries with the Cubeo have had a desire that we here in the Guanano church start a Cubeo church plant by evangelizing Roberto. He seems to be trusting in his own goodness to be saved. By the end of this month we are attempting to teach a set of evangelistic lessons over a 2-3 week time span to Roberto. He is pretty pumped about it as his Cubeo Aunt Sofia, part of the Guanano church, lives here where he will listen to this teaching! We’d like to invite you to pray for the eyes of Roberto’s understanding to be opened by the Spirit to trust in Christ only for his salvation. The idea goes beyond just Roberto’s salvation and is a way of positioning Roberto to soon re-teach his own village in the Cubeo language and from that maybe we will see a Cubeo church come from it! Secondly this is practice for those in our village to do the same style teaching in new Guanano villages and expand the edge of the Church in the near future, Lord willing! 
Pray for the Bible teaching team, Arnoldo, Rey, maybe Orlando (he might travel) and myself as 
we have to prep to teach 3-4 lessons per day for a total of 54 lessons that cover the thread of salvation. We may invite some other unsaved friends to sit in as well. Thanks for taking this to the throne room!
