11 days, 6 different beds to sleep in, 4 churches in which we will be speaking and numerous friends and supporters to visit. Tomorrow begins an 11 day speaking tour in Ohio. We’ve had this trip planned for several months so we are excited that it is finally here. We still have to finish packing though!!
We are armed with lots of library books, some snacks and several Little House on the Prarie and Narnia books on CD! The boys do really well on these long trips and we are very thankful for that.
Our first stop is in southern PA where Emily will be speaking for a Ladies Missionary Fellowship gathering from several churches. We will also get to stay one night with Bart’s parents who are leaving soon for their final term in Bangladesh.
Then we travel on to the Cedarville/Jamestown area where we will be speaking at a church that we both attended during our college years. We will have Sunday school with the teens and then present our ministry in the evening service.
The rest of the week is filled with staying in different homes, visiting and having meals with friends and hopefully a little rest since we’ve been lacking in that area lately! We are looking forward to spending time with friends we haven’t seen for a while. On Saturday, the 19th, we also have the chance to attend the wedding of a friend from Cedarville.
Our trip closes out with visiting two other churches in the Dayton area on Sunday April 20th. In the morning we will attend Bart’s parent’s sending church. In the evening we will be sharing about our ministry with the church where Bart served as a youth pastor before we began our training with New Tribes. Then it’s back to PA on Monday. The boys are excited to see Grandma and Grandpa Weber again. They have been in Belgium for a month visiting Emily’s brother and his family who are missionaries there.
It’s going to be a busy week but we are so thankful for the opportunities the Lord has provided for us to share about tribal people who don’t yet know Him. Please pray for us as we speak and interact with people. Our desire is to be good representatives of the Lord and point people to Him.
