Decisions, Decisions, Decisions!!

March 26, 2012 by Bart and Emily Allen

Right now we are in the thick of making tons of decisions with our team about our future tribal church planting ministry!  Will you please pray for our team as we discuss a myriad of different topics that are vital to the goal of seeing a church planted among an unreached tribal group?

We made the trip again to another part of PNG (and another NTM support center) where the other two families on our team are living.  We will be here until the beginning of April and we are trying to make the most of the time we have together.  We are making good progress, but at times the magnitude of all that has to be talked through and done before we can move into a tribe is overwhelming!

Plenty of teams have broken up and the tribal church was negatively affected because of a lack of communication on the topics that we are discussing.  It’s not a waste of time to build a good foundation for our team!

Your prayers for us are greatly appreciated!  Satan does not want us heading into his territory and we can feel the heat of battle already.

Here are a few recent photos so you remember what we look like!

    Caleb looks like a keeper!

You are often in our prayers here at Bethel Baptist in Erie, both on Wednesday nights and in my small group led by Tom & Marcia Gribbin. And, of course, at home with Maria.

Thanks for this update. The Lord will provide wisdom! Rejoice in Him!

    The Father’s peace,

    Tim

P.S. The uttermost parts don’t seem so far away with these frequent updates. Keep them coming so that we may share your joy.

Great pictures, Bart and Emily! We’re praying for you. Sometimes the hardest part of the ministry is waiting :-/ But it’s worth it when it’s the Lord’s wisdom you’re waiting for!
    Love, Aunt Shirley

Will be praying for your concerns. You are so right-communication is key.
Our big news is that Michael is engaged to be married to Heidi Schwartzentruber on June 16 th. she’s a wonderful Christian with a degree in missions from Asbury College. She also spent 8 months in India.
Susie and Forrest are going short term to Haiti in April
    Blessings!
