At the moment, our son Micah is a boy without a country! But that will change soon. We came here to Australia from PNG for his birth instead of going all the way back to the US. Even though he was born in Australia, he’s not an Australian and he will not officially be a US citizen until the proper documents are issued from the US government. His birth certificate arrived a few days ago, and as soon as we could, we made a quick trip to the American Consulate in Sydney to submit all the paperwork for his Consular Report of Birth Abroad, his passport and his social security card. We are praising the Lord that everything went smoothly! We were even able to see a few of the sights in Sydney while we were there. However, the traffic made us glad we don’t live there (and thankful for the GPS that a friend loaned us for the trip).

Now we wait for the important packet to arrive in the mail! Please pray with us that all the documents will be issued soon. Once we have Micah’s passport, we will be able to apply for his entry permit (visa) for PNG. Only after that is granted will we be able to plan our return trip and buy tickets.
Thank you for praying with us about these things. We look forward to sharing with you how the Lord has answered!

I read your letter about Micah’s papers, your house, and the financial need. I will pray. So glad you are all well.
