Good Measure, Pressed Down

December 12, 2015 by Benjamin and Missy

Luke 6:38 “Give, and it will be given to you good measure, pressed down,

shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.”  We have spent the past five holiday seasons away from home and family.  But this year we are receiving a “good measure” right in our laps because we are home for the holidays, and many of our family members are right here in Jackson!  Talk about “running over;” we are so thankful!

IMG_0341Thank you for thinking of us, even while we are here in the U.S. on home assignment.  Thank you for continuing to pray for us and for supporting our family.  While we drink deeply from God’s abundance towards us this Thanksgiving and Christmas season we recognize that Christ incarnate is the real heart of these holidays and even sweet time with family members is second to taking the message of Emmanuel to those who have never heard.

Thank you for making it possible for us to make disciples among the Amdu people, and thank you for making this special time with our family possible too.  May the Lord give you “good measure” this holiday for you have been so generous to us.  Thank you isn’t enough.
