Thank you for praying for Missy, Jason and our Amdu friends as they check almost 600 verses of translated scriptures. Now on day three Missy’s back is not bothering her hardly at all. Thank you for praying specifically that way for her. Our two helpers, who have the hard task of staying mentally focused all day and doing their best to regurgitate large chunks of the Bible story have been doing a great job. Jason is pleased with the pace they have been able to maintain and has been able to give Missy lot’s of good advice that will help the Amdu New Testament really sing.
One of the men told Missy during a break, “This sounds just like the way we talk. This I understand!” They are both excited to be part of this check. Pray that as they wade through the powerful story contained in the first twelve chapters of Acts that their hearts would be gripped by it. They are moving really fast and aren’t taking time to consider the meaning and implication of all the details of the words this time, but that is what is going to begin next week with the believers and that is a thrill.
Also pray for Jason’s son Jedidiah. He started to run a fever yesterday afternoon. It could be that he has malaria. Just pray for Jed, that his body would heal. No one likes to suffer and least of all when you are far from the comfort of your own bed.
Thanks for praying,
Benjamin and Missy
