Printing Up a Storm!

July 28, 2016 by Bob and Debbie Clark

We couldn’t resist sharing a few photos of our home office which has become a veritable print shop recently. Each stack of  paper on our floor is one book of the Tugutil Bible, most of which are complete books. All of the Old Testament portions which NTM recommends to be translated for the chronological Bible lessons are complete, with an additional thousand verses added on top of that. The Tugutil New Testament lacks only a couple of books before it will be complete. I’ll be carrying these original pages overseas and having over 50 sets of books made up at a photocopy shop for distribution to the Tugutil church!

Another exciting development is that we are developing an app so that all of the Tugutil Scriptures will also be available on Android tablets and smartphones. Soon we will purchase a few tablets, give them to a few of the Tugutil believers, and train them on how to use them to navigate through the Bible translation. Then we’ll see how well the tablets stand up to the rugged jungle conditions where they will be used.

Rejoice with us as we celebrate this significant step toward the completion of the Tugutil translation project!
