About

Bob & Debbie served full-time in the Asia-Pacific region for 20 years, primarily among the Tugutil people. Since completing the translation of the New Testament for the Tugutil people and having it printed and distributed in 2021, Bob’s ministry has shifted to Scripture typesetting for other missionary teams who have completed their translations in different language groups around the world. Scripture typesetting is basically using various publishing and design software programs to take a team’s Scripture translation and prepare it for printing. So far, he has finished typesetting projects for ten Bibles representing languages from five different countries.

Bob also still serves as our mission’s International Coordinator for Bible Translation, which means that he helps provide resources and consultant help for all our teams who are actively translating the Scriptures into the local languages of the people among whom they serve. Currently, our organization has 85 teams around the world actively translating God’s Word into those minority languages.

As for local ministry, Debbie and I have active roles in the church we attend in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Debbie leads a small group ladies’ Bible study and Bob has helped in various capacities, including teaching a couple of Bible classes. Debbie also is a great help to many people through her work as a Physical Therapist Assistant at a local hospital.

The Tugutil believers are happy to help out during translation checks so that they can have more of God’s Word in their language!

For many years, Bob made frequent trips to check Scriptures for ongoing translation projects, such as this one in the Moi people group.

In remote areas across the Asia-Pacific region, believers gather to worship their Savior, Wana believers in Sulawesi as they are doing here in the Wana tribe of Sulawesi.

This small congregation is one of several among the Tugutil people group who use the Bible translation done by the Clarks and their translation team, which included both ex-pat co-workers and many of the native speakers of the language.
