Bob & Debbie served full-time in the Asia-Pacific region for 20 years, primarily among the Tugutil people. The focus of their ministry has been translating the New Testament into the local language, and that project is nearing completion. Only the Gospel of Luke, Acts, and half of 2 Corinthians remain. For over 10 years now Bob has also served as a Bible translation consultant for other people groups as well, and he continues to make frequent trips to Asia for the purpose of finishing the Tugutil New Testament and also to consult for those translation projects in about 15 other languages. Debbie’s ministry has shifted from helping new missionaries on the field learn the national language and culture to serving as a Physical Therapist Assistant in a local hospital here in the USA.
The Tugutil believers are happy to help out during translation checks so that they can have more of God’s Word in their language!
Bob makes frequent trips to check Scriptures for ongoing translation projects, such as this one in the Moi people group.
In remote areas across the Asia-Pacific region, believers gather to worship their Savior, as they are doing here in the Wana tribe of Sulawesi.
Debbie occasionally is able to accompany Bob on his ministry trips (as pictured above), but her primary ministry is now serving in the Physical Therapy department at a local hospital here in Indiana.
