A Record Month

March 2, 2013 by Brian and Bailey Pruett

This is right in the middle of rainy season so flights are always a challenge. We wait many hours and sometimes days for weather to clear and this means that Bailey is on standby with the radio until the flight takes place. Brian always packs an overnight bag in case he isn’t able to return home because the weather is so unpredictable this time of year. It was our first month back flying the program and we had a record number of flights in February. More than we’ve had since we re-opened the flight program in 2009. This combined with rainy season meant we were running wild!

Rainy season brings with it some beautiful sights like rainbows that form a complete circle and follow you as you fly along. In the midst of the chaos it’s always a wonderful “break” to remember what an awesome priviledge we have to serve God in this way.
Somedays I just stand and stare at the pile of cargo and scratch my head. Somehow it all fits. What I didn’t include in this photo is that all the seats for the plane had to come on this flight as well because 5 passengers were coming with me on the return flight.
