As crazy as the past few months have been, I can’t even begin to describe how exciting it all has been at the same time. There have been some major ups and downs and, while it continues this way, progress is being made and some really cool things are happening!
Here are just a couple of ways we’ve seen God’s hand in this crazy process:
- The airworthiness inspector came just when he said he would! This was an unexpected miracle because the the registration for the helicopter is not even finished yet. The inspector usually would wait until all paperwork is processed and finished before he would even think about coming for an inspection but…out of a desire to help, he was proactive and got the inspection done early so that, as soon as the registration is ready, we can start the process of test flying and getting the helicopter up in the air! Praise God with us that this step is complete!
- We received our radio license for the helicopter! We were also not expecting this to go as quickly as it did! We received this license just in time to hand to the airworthiness inspector (who was here for just one night) to take back to Manila with him. He arrived at 6 pm Thursday night, performed the inspection, and his flight left at 9 am Friday morning. So in that little window of time, we received the radio license, which was needed to finalize the inspection.
Now all that is left is in the hands of CAAP in Manila. We are hopeful that this will be a quick process from here on out and we would like to see the helicopter perform its test flight sometime mid-week.Thank you all, so much, for praying! Keep it up! A lot has to happen still and important people need to be in their offices next week in order to finish the registration. Again, we are hopeful that this will all work out before our scheduled flights in a couple of weeks, but we also are trusting in God’s perfect timing. His plans are always better than ours so we are trying to keep that at the forefront of our hearts and minds through this process…not always easy!
