USA and back again

USA and back again

January 8, 2011

It's crazy how fast time flies and how much change just a few weeks can bring. Just two weeks ago I would have been sitting on the couch watching tv next to my sisters in the good ol' USA and today, I'm back across the world, at home with Brian. It feels crazy that I was even there! But, as crazy as it feels, I WAS there and I had a truly wonderful time. It was a bit surreal to be back with my family, most of them I hadn't seen in 2 1/2 years.

Survival Mode

September 6, 2010

It doesn’t take long to notice that we’ve been silent for about three months. We apologize. This would have been a very fun and interesting time to be sharing all the exciting things going on in our ministry, but after Dylan came home from the hospital we entered “survival mode.” On top of our normal, […]

A Little Incident

A Little Incident

September 3, 2010

We have been working at full throttle the last few months in the flight program on Mindanao. We have been really excited to see first hand the work the Lord is doing among tribal people here in all our locations and how their love for the Lord compels them to reach out to neighboring tribes. […]

Life as a Family of Four

Life as a Family of Four

September 3, 2010

Everyone always told me that the transition from having one child to two is not too difficult because there is still only one child for each parent. Let me tell you…had it not been for my mom being here and having THREE adults to watch over two kids, I would have gone crazy!  Granted we […]

We Are All Home Again

We Are All Home Again

June 4, 2010

Thank you to all of you who have prayed for us and Dylan as he was in the hospital fighting an infection. It was an exhausting 4-day event for us, but well worth it as Dylan is doing very well in his own bed now. We are still tethered to the hospital because Dylan needs […]

Back to the Hospital

June 3, 2010

We sure are getting to know the local hospital these days. On Tuesday we took Dylan to the hospital to get some tests because he was running a slight fever. After the tests they decided that he should be admitted right away and start on an IV for hydration and antibiotics. It’s now Friday and […]

A Moment to Brag

A Moment to Brag

June 2, 2010

Hospitals here aren’t like hospitals in the States. In the States, the nurses wait on you hand and foot and you can feel pretty well taken care of even if you are there alone. Here, you have to have a “watcher.” The staff aren’t here to GET the things you need, only to implement the […]

Dylan James Pruett is Born!

May 26, 2010

Last night we went to bed early anticipating an early morning supply flight into one of the tribal locations that we are flying for. It is a particularly challenging flight so I make sure I’m extra well rested before going in there. We knew that we needed a backup plan for the flight incase Bailey […]

First Flight as a Missionary Pilot

First Flight as a Missionary Pilot

April 27, 2010

When I was a three year old (or thereabouts) I still remember sitting in an airplane at the SIL mission center in Mindanao and hearing its big engines roar and the Aero Commander start to roll down the grass airstrip. I couldn’t contain my excitement and yelled out, “Weee!” My parents still laugh about that […]

Maycie The Two-Year-Old

April 18, 2010

We wonder where the time has gone… Maycie just celebrated her second birthday, and it was her second birthday here in the Philippines as well. We have sure enjoyed watching her grow up here and all the new and fun things she does. From time to time we are clearly reminded that no matter how […]
