It’s that time of year again. Summer break is behind us and a new semester of school awaits. We did our back- to- school shopping and got ourselves all ready for our last semester of training in Canada! It is hard to believe that we only have a couple months left here in our training. This time has been so incredible for many different reasons.
The first reason being our son Eli was born 4 months ago! He is such a joy and we feel so blessed to be his parents. What a gift from God. I thought my life couldn’t get any better when I married Brion 2 years ago, but man, having a baby is seriously the best thing in the world. It is so fun to watch him grow and develop.
Another reason is that our training here has been so incredible. Our teachers and the staff are so wonderful and we have enjoyed our classes and every day life with a great body of believers. We have also been blessed with an amazing class. We have now been together for 2 semesters and a summer of jungle camp. It has been such a privileged to grow and learn with this group. They have helped Brion and I with adjusting to life with a child and constantly encourage us in our walk with the Lord. God truly puts us in the right place at the right time.
The last, and certainly not the least, would be our renewed desire to see the lost come to know Christ. No matter where God puts us in the next years to come, I hope that we will be a light to the people around us and bring glory to God in all we do. We are still undecided on which field (country/region) we will be serving in, but we are excited to be used to further the Kingdom wherever we are.
As we start our last semester of classes, please be praying that God would:
-Give us focus and time management (Eli tends to be a bit distracting sometimes. He’s just too cute!).
-That Eli would adjust well to being in childcare in the mornings.
-As we pick a field, God would direct our path.
In orientation this morning we were encouraged with Matthew 9:38, “Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” Let us be ever mindful that there are millions of people that are lost in darkness. Thank you for your love, prayers and support.

I like how your need of prayer for focus & time management is Eli’s fault because he’s so cute! :} I’m so glad you are enjoying your time there.
