God is so faithful! When I woke up this morning, I was feeling a bit under the weather. My temp was higher than normal. I was hot and then cold and hot and then cold and then I remembered all the things that had to get done today. Let’s just say I was not feeling very thankful. Why is it that on the day’s I am feeling the most sorry for myself, God decides to bless me beyond measure?
Blessing number one: Eli had a nice long nap this morning which allowed me to get a bit of extra sleep.
Blessing number two: I opened my e-mail to find that we won a $115 baby carrier for Eli. It is so nice and I am so excited. I was not expecting that what-so-ever.
Blessing number three: Brion and I have been praying about what to do about having our NTM interview to become members of NTM. Normally someone comes up here from the US to interview the American students, but this year they could not make it up here. We were going to either have to drive to MI or fly to FL. With our class load getting super busy, neither option seemed awesome, so we asked our friends to pray with us about making a decision. Today we found out that we are having our interview TOMORROW! The person who used to do the interviews is here visiting and said he would interview us! God is good. And there is still more!
Blessing number four: While Brion was out on a one-on-one today with the man who is going to be our “language helper” for our class here, he found out that we get to learn Spanish instead or Portuguese. I will explain why this is super exciting in a blog soon to come :)
Blessing number five: Brion brought a chai tea home for me from a new coffee shop in Durham. It’s the little things right? Made me miss the Steaming Cup in Waukesha, WI.
Blessing number six: The real one I have been wanting to get to. God created flowers, trees and plants! I am teaching on this tonight from our Building on Firm Foundations lessons. I am suppose to be teaching these kids these wonderful truths, but I think this is blessing me more than it’s blessing them! What if we didn’t have plants and trees? How would we breath? What would we eat? How would we make fires? How would we build houses? We wouldn’t have STRAWBERRIES!
God could have made all these plants, trees and flowers black and white or fragrance-less, but he didn’t. His love for us is shown all around us. The fall colors, the variety of trees, all kinds of plants to eat and make things with and tea! This list could go on forever and that is the truly amazing thing. I am so excited that I am ready to jump out of my skin! These 5th and 6th graders better be ready tonight, because I am pumped about this lesson!
God is so good and his blessings are innumerable. I am feeling very blessed to be his kid today. Not feeling very worthy, but we never really do, right?

I absolutely love it when this happens! It happened to me recently…I start the day crying for myself and end the day crying for joy and thanks. Beautiful thing to share Netties :)
