Family vacations are not what they used to be…

September 6, 2013 by Brion and Annette Kendzora

Vacation- a period of time devoted to rest, travel or recreation.

Our little family just got back from a vacation, but restful is not a word I would use to describe our time. Traveling with two boys under 2, no, make that under 1 ½, is pure chaos at times. We need a vacation now that we are home from vacation! Eli is pretty easy to travel with. He has always been a very flexible baby with nap times and bed times. He can pretty much sleep anywhere, which is a huge blessing. Jonah on the other hand loves his rocking chair and it calms him no matter what. Well, we did not have a rocking chair this past week, but we did survive.

On the positive side of things, we got to spend time with my family, some of whom I have not seen in probably 6 years. We spent some time at a really nice resort that my parents get every year through their business, Eli got to enjoy some beach time (as did we) and spending time with my parents and sister’s family is always worth the trouble of traveling.
