Is it really August? I feel like just yesterday was the first day of summer! A few days ago I found the very first prayer letter we sent out as a married couple. It is awesome to see how far God has brought us since then.
The Boys
Our life has changed drastically once again. Our son Jonah was born on June 22nd and we are enjoying life as a family of four. Eli loves his little brother and tries to help us by bringing him his blanket, pacifier and gives him lots of kisses. Jonah, for the most part, is a calm baby who loves cuddling and sleeping. We are truly blessed to have two happy, healthy, boys.
Eli is running around like crazy and keeps us on our toes. He loves anything to do with water and loves being pushed on his tricycle outside. He is constantly on the move and we have learned that he has a pretty hard head!
Partners For the Gospel
We are still in the process of building our team of prayer and financial support partners. When we started our partnership development at the beginning of the year we had 5 family units supporting us. We now have 19 and 2 churches! The Lord is so good and we have seen him provide for us in wonderful ways. We still have a long way to go before we can plan to leave (we are about half way there), but we are continuing to trust in the Lord during this time. It is easy to feel overwhelmed by the task in front of us, but we are confident that this is what God has for us.
Pray With Us
Praise that Jonah’s birth went smoothly and he is healthy and growing well.
Continue to pray that God gives us wisdom as we seek to expand our partnership team.
Pray that we continue to raise the boys in a godly manner. (A certain little boy has been pushing his boundaries lately and an extra portion of patience would be wonderful!)
Pray that God would be preparing our future co-workers in Colombia as well. Our goal is still to move to Bogotá in January, 2014.
Thank you for your prayers. Please do not hesitate to call or e-mail us if you have any questions or comments for us. We would love to hear from you!
