Our little family has been on the road 3 ½ weeks out of the past four weeks. We drove over 2,204 miles, which adds up to over 34 hours in the car! It has been
exhausting, but so great meeting with family, friends and new friends, telling them about the 2,500 unreached people groups around the world who need hear about their Savior.
Wisconsin
The first leg of our journey was spent in West Bend, WI where Annette’s family and home church is. We were able to attend a mission’s awareness conference that our church (Community Church) was hosting. It was very refreshing and encouraging for us to be there and we are so grateful for our church family in West Bend. We were also able to meet with other pastors in the area and are excited to see more supporters coming out of West Bend.
We then went up to Eau Claire, WI, which is where Brion’s parents and brother live. Brion’s dad took some vacation time so he could spend more time with us. Also, his oldest brother and our niece and nephew got to meet Jonah for the first time! Brion’s mom has a lot of health issues and any time we get to spend with her is truly a blessing to us, so we are always thankful for our time there.
The South
We then came home for four days to recover from our travels and were off again, this time to Greenville, SC, where Brion’s aunt, uncle and cousins live. We had early Thanksgiving and were able to visit his family’s church and do a presentation there. We felt very blessed for the opportunity to visit and speak there. You never know how God is going to move in people’s hearts and we feel blessed to be able to challenge people to get involved with missions.
From Greenville we went to Nashville, TN to visit Annette’s sister and brother-in-law who are expecting their first baby and just recently bought a house. We had a great time visiting, but unfortunately we got the flu while there and were not able to do much other than hang around the house. Brion had to do all the driving on the way home (7 ½ hours during the night with no cruise control) due to Annette still having the stomach flu. :(
Home
We arrived home at 2 am Sunday morning and had the privilege of dedicating Jonah to the Lord at church the same day. What a fantastic way to end our trip! We are so glad to be home and back in our “normal” routine, whatever that is, and spend at least one Sunday with our home church here (Arlington Countryside Church).
God has blessed us with awesome families and great opportunities to share about what he is doing around the world. We are so excited to be moving to Colombia, but are thankful for our time in the States as well. We need to be at 75% of our monthly support BEFORE we can leave, so we are waiting on the Lord during this time. We are at about 50% of our monthly support. If you would like more information about tribal missions and what we will be doing in Colombia, please contact us atbrion_kendzora@ntm.org or call (262) 224-3550. We’d love to hear from you!
