It was quite a journey but all worth it! We landed in the morning and ended up at our destination by noon! We were picked up by our dear friends the Butlers, who were our classmates in training. It was a supper blessing to have them there. The land looked just like the pictures and so did the people. We even had a little bit of a cultural experience right when we got off our last plane. There was a dead body, one of the national people, riding along with us. There was a group of people waiting at the fence wailing as they unloaded the body. Some where covered in mud all over and others all in black. Right away we could see the need for the gospel to be shared.
All of this was just surreal. Or maybe it was the jet-leg! But I just have to tell you I, Shara, simply had an amazing joy, and peace as we entered the culture…like this was what God had been preparing us for…and in God’s time, God’s way, through God’s resources, TEAM BACK HOME, WE ARE HERE!
More to come in the next few days!
