Boys and their new school

February 4, 2012 by Bryan and Shara Moritz

First day for the boys at Numonohi Christian Academy. It was twin day! Oh yah, sporting the Oregon Duck hats!

Settling into our new home and getting the boys time to adjust only seemed to take 5 days.  We toured the campus and met the teachers and jumped right into the routine the next day.  The boys are making friends fast and really enjoying school.  They get music, PE, and art class.  The music room just happens to be only a few steps from our patio.  (the boys are standing in from of it in this picture, and I am taking the picture from my doorway.)  We get to hear all the music classes, it is quite fun.  These two boys have transitioned like champs.  They miss many of there friends and family back home, and won’t forget any of you!  Pray for them as they have a bit more homework than we are use to.

One very exciting event so far this year has been the reading festival.  They have to read lots and lots.  Each student makes a goal to read so many minutes a day.  Brayden and Corbyn read 30 minutes at home everyday as well as time in there class.  Both boys have read books that we never knew they could.  We are having so much fun watching and listening to them read.  It’s amazing what these guys can do when they put their mind to it.
