Birthday, Posts, and Good Bush Food!

July 26, 2012 by Chris and Maggie Hostetter

Here’s some pics of what we’ve been up to lately. We celebrated Maisie’s 3rd birthday a week ago. We also had some visitors from a few hours hike away that brought a meal to share. Those are claws sticking up from the pot, and that little girl is sucking on the skull. Also, we got started on collecting posts for our house. The wood we’re using is called sepakanya and I’ve never seen anything like it. When the axe strikes the wood half the time it sounds like metal is clanging against metal. It is really heavy, and really hard, and will make a really nice foundation for our house to sit on. Tonight I’m headed to a sing-sing, which will be a new experience for me and may provide a great blog post tomorrow.
