Answers to Prayer!

August 9, 2012 by Chris and Maggie Hostetter

We look down upon the clouds just as often as we look up at them. It is a pretty cool place that God has brought us to.

It has been really cool to see how God has been providing and bringing plans together for our house building. Some things have come together recently that were better than I could have planned. God has been providing the people to help us each step of the way. Let me share with you one little story.

We were down to 4 weeks until 2 missionary guys are coming in to set posts and do the floor joists for our house. Before they come we need to gather 31 posts, 31 large flat rocks, and 24 beams, and 24 poles. I was planning on going and visiting with one of the leaders in the community to ask him to organize a work day and gather a bunch of guys to start gathering these materials. But, before I got the chance to go visit him, he came to me. It turns out that guys from his village had already started cutting beams, and then he scheduled a day for gathering posts. That day was yesterday and 9 Pal guys and myself hiked the mountain to where the right tree grows and we worked all day on getting those posts ready. The work isn’t done yet, but it was a blessing to see the Pal people eager to help and to see this community leader take the initiative.

And that is just one of many little stories of how God has been putting everything in place for house building to move forward.

Thanks for praying!!!

In other news, our coworkers’ cat that we’ve been ‘sitting’ gave birth to 3 little kittens. (I don’t know why I specified that she gave birth to ‘little kittens’ for I’ve never heard of a cat giving birth to anything else.)
