Immunization Day

December 17, 2014 by Chris and Maggie Hostetter

Maggie, Sandra, and the two nurses got the hard job of sticking needles into people.

In one day two nurses flew in with a couple totes of medicines and we immunized 550 Pal people.  The Pal people came from near and far, some hiking many hours to get here, but our supplies never ran out and we were able to immunize every person that came.

DSC_0529The helicopter arrived around 8am with the nurses and supplies, and by 8:30 we were administering shots to people.  Maggie, Sandra, and the two nurses got the hard job of sticking needles into people, while the rest of us, along with many Pal people, washed peoples’ arms and legs, held screaming writhing kids, wrote everyone’s name down, and just did general crowd control.

It was a busy day but things went really well and we were praising God that the people ran out before the supplies did and that God blessed us with good weather.

This will be our first Christmas celebrated with Pal brothers and sisters in Christ.  God has been at work here and many Pal people are now part of His family.  Please continue to pray for the work here.
