We’d like to give you an opportunity to be a blessing, through giving, to us and our teammates. We have decided to have a VSAT dish installed next to our houses in the tribe which will provide reliable and relatively fast internet from the midst of the jungle in Papua New Guinea. The current service provider in that area provides extremely limited internet capabilities, and has proven very unreliable (down for weeks at a time multiple times a year). Since our team is currently apart (Claasens and Fachners in the tribe, Hostetters in the states), and looking like we’ll be apart often over the next few years (growing kiddos needing to transition from homeschooling in the tribe to the international school at our mission’s center in PNG), this new dish will allow us access to our work from anywhere in the world. Our translation work, Bible teaching curriculums, literacy files, and more will be accessible for us whether we are in the tribe or not, and it will allow us to share and edit files together even when we three families are in separate locations. Simply put, this dish will bless our team and be a valuable tool as we work to see the Pal church mature and see the Gospel taken to every village in Pal and beyond.
We are projecting that it will cost roughly $7,500 for the purchase of the dish (and the other necessary equipment), shipment to Pal, and installation. If God is moving you to give towards this project, please see the info below.
