In late February, four guys from our sending church – Freshwater Church – came and visited us at our home amongst the Pal people here in PNG. Despite what the title of this blog might lead you to believe, we did not eat them. Although, we did sit around and share cannibal jokes.
Upon their arrival, we met them in Goroka and spent a night at one of our NTM PNG centers. The next day we all flew by helicopter to our home in the tribe. It only took three helicopter loads!

Over the next three days we introduced them to many of our Pal brothers and sisters in Christ, showed them the literacy school [while school was in progress], and tested their balance and endurance by hiking up and down these muddy, slippery, and treacherous mountain trails.

We really enjoyed sharing with them what God has been doing among the Pal people and hearing from them about what God is doing among the people of Freshwater Church. These two churches are an ocean apart [and then some], but the same God is working in both places – drawing people to Himself and building up His children.
And, of course, we are still enjoying the goodies they brought for us. Thanks for the Oreos, candy, cereal, and other treats!

Freshwater Church, thanks for being a blessing and an encouragement to us! We look forward to seeing you all this coming summer!
