| March is upon us everyone! I’m officially done with “winter” (or Phoenix’s definition of winter) and am ready for spring. Tank tops and skirts here I come!
Along with spring in the air is spring cleaning. I’ve loved adapting this cultural ritual into my schedule. Blasting my latest favorite music through the house and tackling even the biggest of projects during a free afternoon or weekend is so relaxing and refreshing for me. I even love helping others do the same (wink, wink … if you need some motivation, I’ll come over!). This spring is a little different for me though. As I’m cleaning and purging, I’m also packing. The winter clothes are getting stored until “fall” (Michigan’s definition of fall, that is. Which starts WAY earlier, let me tell you!). I’m scouring Craigslist every day looking for kitchen chairs, an armchair, a bed frame, etc. I’m doing research on what moving company has the cheapest rates and what mattress set is the best for me. All of this research, buying, and packing is preparation for me to move cross-country. This phase for me parallel’s my future ministry with New Tribes Mission. When a student walks onto New Tribes Bible Institute’s campus, they are in a time of preparation. Instead of moving cross-country, they are preparing to move cross-culturally. Instead of cleaning and purging a house, the Holy Spirit will be at work in their soul. Instead of packing furniture and necessities, the students will be having their mind and heart packed with tools and resources for taking the Gospel to the ends of the earth. Please take the time to learn more about what God is doing in the lives of these students. To learn more about my involvement in this ministry, click “About” above.
As always, this is me, Conni Dilworth |
