You may ask, “What in the world does the Super Moon eclipse and breakfast for supper have in common with missionary training?” Well, on the surface, these things have nothing in common. But, just like looking for the beauty in the ocean, you have to go below the surface. Last night (Sept 27th) was the Super moon eclipse. This in itself is an amazing feature of God’s creation. What could make it better? Sharing the time with other people. Last night we had a “block party” on our front yard area. Several of our missionary candidates, a missionary couple from Columbia SA, and 3 of The 4 C’s spent time hanging out, fellowshipping all the while the moon was turning red. We had a great time as we talked, listened to some guitar picking and ate lemon cake.
Tonight, we spent the evening with 9 singles from the CP1 (church planting 1) class. What better meal than Breakfast for Supper. We had pancakes, homemade strawberry syrup, breakfast scramble, Amish cinnamon bread, coffee as well as other “breakfast foods”. God is giving us some great opportunities to spend time with the missionary candidates He has brought here for training. We are enjoying living life with them in the various ways he provides.
Continue praying with us as we ministry here at the NTM MTC.
