We are really thankful to be serving at Moody Aviation! We love being a part of student’s lives and encouraging them into missions. Moody saw how ragged and stressed we were as a family after our ordeal last year and decided that Dan would need a break from flight instructing. So, this semester Dan is acting as personal assistant to the Director of Flight Operations.
He is doing all the projects that the DOFO just doesn’t have the time to do! He sure misses flight instructing but is really enjoying this new change of pace. He is still doing some flights here and there and is teaching classes when they need him to.
This temporary “job change” is also giving us the opportunity to do some support raising/traveling this spring! The beginning of May we will be heading east to the Chicago area and then down south to Tennessee and North Carolina.
Thank you for letting us be involved in the ministry at Moody and for praying for our family! We are passionate about training up a new generation of missionaries and seeing them thrive overseas. As important as the flight and maintenance training is, there is also a huge need to help them grow in their “soft” skills– their interpersonal relationships, relationship with the Lord, etc.
It has been very rewarding to have students thank Dan for helping them work through difficult life issues. You are a part of that! Thank you for your continuing prayers and financial backing so we can serve here!
