Happy First Day of School!
Yep- today is the first day of school for students at Moody Aviation! Dan has been assigned 4 incoming flight students this semester. He will teach them how to take off, fly, and land an airplane all by themselves! 🙂 Please pray for Dan’s endurance, as well as his students’ ability to handle all the information being given to them.
In May another class of missionary pilots and mechanics graduated from Moody. We are excited to see how they will serve the Lord and are thankful for the little part we had in their training.
The past couple of months have been very busy for our family. We’ve had family come visit, a few birthdays, graduation and all the festivities that go with that, our 16 year anniversary, lots of dinner guests, and we could go on! The kids finished up their schooling for the summer and we are enjoying a different change of pace and getting ready for our next house guests arriving this week! Thank you all for your prayers. We were reminded a few weeks ago, after a few close calls, that many are praying for our family. Thank you for praying for our safety and health. Thank you, also, for giving so we can serve at Moody and encourage students into missions. We can bear witness to the fact that the Lord is good all the time- even when life is hard or doesn’t always make sense. We have not been promised an easy life as believers, but God has promised in His Word that He is always with us. Our pastor has been going through 1 Peter on Sundays and this verse has really stuck out to us: “Dear friends, don’t be surprised at the fiery trials you are going through, as if something strange were happening to you. Instead, be very glad- because these trials will make you partners with Christ in his suffering, and afterward you will have the wonderful joy of sharing his glory when it is displayed to all the world.” (vss. 12-13)
