We started out last year with Laura’s health very quickly declining and no answers as to why. She has been fighting health issues for many years, but the past 2 years were getting to a point where something had to change because she couldn’t function normally. At the urging of a few people, she went to a specialty natural doctor in Idaho who very quickly diagnosed her with Late Stage Lyme disease. All the health issues finally made sense! She’s pretty sure she was bit by a tick in Jr. High. Weird symptoms started showing up in High School. This same doctor treated her using a very unique method with magnets. He is very highly sought after and has a 6 month waiting list for appts. She did the treatment and after the initial 6 weeks of detoxing, she started feeling much better…and then her healing took a long vacation. At the urging of a friend, she pursued another treatment for Lyme disease using Ozone therapy in a sauna. It’s a pretty new treatment in the US and is quickly gaining a following for it’s powerful ways to detox and heal the body. After almost 4 months of doing it, she is beginning to feel stronger and her body is actively killing the Lyme and co-infections. It really has been a blessing from God.
Last year was a dark, hard year as we worked through the many detoxing reactions, as we tried to live a normal life as much as possible as a family, and as our faith was really put to the test. The Lord encouraged our hearts as He reminded us many times that suffering is part of the Christian walk and should be expected. Many times we think we are doing a good job in life if we are not suffering, but that goes directly against what the Bible teaches! 1 Peter 4:12-13 has greatly encouraged our hearts…. “Dear friends, don’t be surprised at the fiery trials you are going through, as if something strange were happening to you. Instead, be very glad– because these trials will make you partners with Christ in his suffering, and afterward you will have the wonderful joy of sharing his glory when it is displayed to all the world.”
We would appreciate your prayers for us to remain faithful and steadfast through the trials. Please pray that we would find our JOY in the Lord.
