Thanks so much for your prayers these past few weeks. My intention was to send out an update on the projects happening around here about two weeks ago, mid-way through the Gerai Bible audio recording project. But things got pretty crazy around here, people coming and going and getting tangled up in several projects. I very much felt your prayers though as the Lord gave us wisdom and unity and strength to serve Him through it all.
Celebrate with us: the completion of 14 Embaloh literacy booklets and a Phase One lesson teacher’s curriculum. The Embaloh church has several studiers of these lessons in progress currently.
Celebrate the completion of the Gerai audio Bible recording project today!! The team is still hanging around for the final proof-checking just in case they are needed to rerecord some part of a verse. The team was amazing!! Meet in the photos below a 12-yr old voice of Jesus in the temple, currently sitting in the recording studio and two amazing proof-checkers, Ke’ Dede and No’ Asa. Ke’ Dede also read the voice of God for the project.
And a couple of more pics of the team at work and some of their amazing equipment. Proof checker Pa’ Ema below in the white shirt was the voice of Jesus.
Since my last update many have been praying for Ke’ Camy (shown below with wife). I accompanied he and his wife and daughter and son in law to Malaysia to be evaluated by the doctor team there and get further tests done. The doctors there concurred that his liver cancer is stage 4 and difficult to treat at this point in time. They were given some medicine that might help slow the growth of the cancer some. We are all in agreement that he is looking better and better each week. We still do not know what the Lord has in store for this faithful coworker of ours but we continue to pray for healing for him. Please pray with us that the Lord’s will be done in his life.
Please also be in prayer for Rina and Ena, two young ladies that are being sent by us to our Missionary training program on another island. They will fly up there on the 20th, this Friday. The Lord has been faithfully leading them and providing for them along the way. If you feel the Lord’s leading to invest in the training of these girls who are stepping out in faith to be prepared to serve Him, they would welcome your support. But they especially need your prayers as they make this huge step. (See photo of Rina in the top photo holding the new literacy booklets in her tribal language.)
Celebrating God’s gracious victories with you,
Darcy
