…Wusaraambyan Believers are Baptized.

March 27, 2007 by

Darryl and Andrew Baptize Willis

On Sunday, February 25, 2007 we had the privilege of seeing 5 women and 12 men follow their LORD in Baptism.  The Lord provided a beautiful sunny day for the ceremony.   The day before the baptism ceremony, Darryl and Andrew dammed a small creek near our village.

There were 200 or more other village people to witness the event.  Andrew shared from the Bible about God’s reasons for baptism.  Each believer shared his/her testimony and told their story about what the Lord had done for them.  The spring water was cold.

Darryl and Andrew baptized Willis, a man who has grown in the Lord and has had a significant impact on others in the village.  Willis and Davitnya ( a man who was saved in the 80’s under the ministry of a former coworker) baptized the rest of the group.

After the baptisms, we sang and then went to a nearby hamlet where we enjoyed fellowship and enthusiasm of the new believers around a "mumu" pit.  The ladies had cooked sweet potatoes, greens, and taro in the ground.
