The completion of the Third Wusuraambyan Evangelistic Outreach!

July 21, 2007 by

Willis, enthusiastically, taught the third evangelistic outreach.

In May, Willis finished teaching our third evangelistic outreach of 70 lessons that began with Genesis and culminated with the resurrection of Christ. He taught four days a week for the previous four months.

Early on, 160 attended, leveling off to 60 faithful daily listeners.

After the completion of the lessons, people were given opportunities to share what they had learned through the lessons. During the following three Sundays, forty-four  people out of sixty people gave clear testimonies! So the vast majority of the regular attendees had understood the lessons. PTL! They gave enthusiastic testimonies up to 45 minutes long of believing and accepting the finished work of Christ for their salvation. It has been an exciting blessing to see what God is doing among the new believers here!

In June, Willis, one of the earlier believers began a second phase of lessons for the new believers. These lessons are designed to establish the new believers in their faith. We meet in the church building on Sundays and Wednesdays. The believers are creating new songs in their own language and singing praises to their Savior with tear-filled eyes! Their fervent prayers of simple faith to their Heavenly Father are full of gratitude and praise! It is a blessing to hear them sing and pray. So we can only imagine how thrilled the Lord must be to hear them as well!

Numbers are insignificant but we do praise the Lord that this new group of believers, along with the previous group, exceeds one hundred. Please pray for them as they seek to stand in their new-found faith. Satan is really attacking their marriages!

Also pray that as a team, working diligently together, we can finish translating Romans so we can give the believers more of God’s Word. We covet your prayers for an accurate and readable translation. With the believers doing the teaching, we can invest our time in translating Scripture and Bible lessons. We now have over 100 readers from our literacy classes who are anxious to read God’s Word for the first time in their own language.  We wonder how many believers in America are anxious to read God’s love letter to them.
