Our first year in the Philippines has come and gone. We did find ourselves busy with running and maintaining the guesthouse, building new units, purchasing/shipping for our missionaries and the bookkeeping involved with all of that. During this same time we were hearing some unsettling news concerning the health of our mothers. So we decided that the “Christmas/New Year” break would be a good time to slip away and visit.
We left Manila on December 24th. It’s was a 20 hour trip. When we got to Portland, I had to go straight to the Emergency Room. I was aware that I had an enlarged prostrate. When I got here it was completely blocked. Now I was ready for the surgery that I had put off for years. And God brought me to a place where I could have the medical attention that I needed. So God knew and He blessed us with not only a good visit with our mothers but the necessary surgery that I needed. I was operated on last week and am feeling great.
Now we are endeavoring to reschedule our flights and return to our ministry in the Philippines. We are planning to be back in Palawan the second week of February.
