ING Hartford Marathon

October 18, 2010 by Darryl and Becky Jordan

I’ve wanted to run a marathon for many years, yet there never seemed to be an opportunity. This year I found myself on Home Assignment in Connecticut. So there was no excuse. I use a 16 week running/training program. Yet a couple of weeks before the marathon I had serious thoughts as to whether I could run the distance. The story does have a happy ending. One goal was to run the whole 26.2 miles and I did that. My time was 5 hours and 5 minutes. It was an exciting adventure and I’m grateful to God that I’m still able to run
