March Update

March 15, 2013 by Darryl and Becky Jordan

>I suspect many of you are enjoying the changing season. For us, there is little change. Hot all the time! Of course, we can be resolved and enjoy what we have. And of course, it will soon be Holy Week. Our little neighborhood Southern Baptist church will be having a Good Friday service and a Sunrise service. We usually go to the beach early on Easter. Baptize our new members. Have a service, potluck brunch and then a swim.
The news on the center is that we have a lot of construction projects. We are now building a “jungle gym” for the kids and a multi-purpose building. After those projects are completed, we will work on replacing a leaky roof.
Off our center, much is happening. We’ve had a professional cinematography team come to document the Palawano work. We also have professional teams coming to record two newly translated New Testaments. The goal is to obtain appropriate solar recorders and to place them with key families and in various geographical locations where those languages are spoken. And we’ve had several people come to build housing for our new missionaries. All to these people stay at the center. Some just overnight and others are a bit longer term.
We are grateful to you for helping make all these things happen. Pray that God will use all of these activities to bring many to Christ. As always, thanks for your prayers for us. We are grateful that you make it possible for us to be here.
