Dave had catract surgery on Wednesday, May 16th. The process took only 2 hours from check in to check out.
Dave had some discomfort the first day, with headaches and a sensation of sand in the eye. But by the evening, the headaches were gone, and by the next day, the feeling of grit in the eye had decreased.
A follow-up appointment with the eye surgeon the day after surgery was a surprise even to the doctor. Dave’s vision was 22/20. The doctor said that it is difficult to do precision placement of the new lens for someone who is as nearsighted as Dave. Even the doctor hadn’t expected Dave’s vision to be so good.
- Praise the Lord that the surgery was so successful.
- Pray for wisdom to know when to deal with the growing cataract in his left eye.
- Pray for Dave as he adjusts to having excellent vision in his right eye. His equilibrium is a bit off, and it’s just a matter of getting used to being able to see.
