Teenager today

February 26, 2008 by

Nathan turned 13 today – another step in becoming the man God intends for him to be.

People say to us, "You’ve already raised boys – John, Tom, and Ben – so you know what to expect."  And in a sense that is true, but every child is unique.

I’ve taken some time to prepare for being a teenager’s mom again by reading the excellent book, "Age of Opportunity – A Biblical Guide for Parenting Teens" by Paul David Tripp.  And, at Nathan’s request, we’ve had a Bible study with him over the past 8 weeks, preparing him for some of the issues he will face as a teenager.

So we go into this new adventure with Nathan with excitement – and great dependence on our God.

  • Pray that Nathan would continue to have a passion for God, and walk in HIs ways during these adolescent years, and throughout his lifetime.

PS:  Check out the photo gallery for some pictures of Nathan.
