Each month we document our ministry endeavors to track the outcome of our efforts. While our first concern is not numbers, we do
consider the greater element of our calling to be faithful in the work the Lord has given us to do. Whether bringing a challenge through
God’s Word in a formal church setting, in a home/growth group, speaking to teens and kids, leading workshops or seminars, we are intent
on casting vision of the Harvest and motivating those whom God is steering toward missionary service. These efforts are backed by many
hours of preparation, many hours of travel, and sometimes short nights. …But when we hear of another people group being reached with
the gospel because someone has stepped out to serve, we realize no cost is too great in going the extra mile to encourage or stimulate
that one whom God will use to declare Christ to the Nations.
NTM, now Ethnos360, just celebrated 75 years of faithfully taking the gospel to some of the most remote places of the earth. In the early days of our mission, founding-father Paul Fleming made a statement that remains our objective to this day. Paul said “By unflinching determination we will hazard our lives and gamble all for Christ until we have reached the last tribe regardless where that tribe might be.”
Today, Ethnos360 is comprised of more than 3,000 missionaries serving among 348 people groups. There is another 700+ candidates in training who will join us in carrying forth the vision of establishing thriving churches for every people. Currently, 1,200 churches have been established with 116 Bible translations in progress.
While our numbers aren’t off the charts we must reckon with the fact that it sometimes takes anywhere from 2-5 years for a team to be established and fluent in the language and culture of the people before engaging Bible teaching among them. Therefore, we are grateful for each missionary who has dedicated themselves to the purpose of taking the gospel where no man has gone before.
