Adjusting to being single again was the challenge I faced at the beginning of 2013. God opened many opportunities for me to share my experiences in the grief recovery stage. He has used these requests to prompt me in the development of a book to assist others who are helping those who have experienced loss. I hope to have I DIDN’T KNOW WHAT TO SAY available soon in 2014. www.griefreliefministries.com has become available to promote the book and offer practical suggestions in helping those who have experienced loss. Regular emails go out to assist anyone who wants to gain more insight into helping those who have experienced loss. You are welcome to register to receive these helpful notes of instruction on that site.
My one year of sabbatical from active ministry service with NTM came to an end late in the year. The “new” ministry description I have been given proved to be a good fit for me. I am still working with the Stewardship Development department of NTM but have been asked to focus my attention on churches that give to the ministry of NTM. This is an important work of connecting the church leadership with NTM by putting a face and person (me) in the relationship mix. I am concentrating on the areas of Arizona and Southern California at this time.
Another very important change 2013 provided is my meeting Crystal Wacker. We met through a social media avenue. Through months of communication and meetings, we concluded that God would have us together. We were engaged at Thanksgiving. Crystal has been living in Southern California and is the editor-in-chief of a Christian women’s magazine called Reach Up that focuses on aiding women who are socially and economically challenged.
The prayers and support of friends and family have been vital in the recovery and changes God has brought me through. Thanks for your interest and prayers as well.
