May 1990 Phonetics, Language & Culture Training

May 10, 1990 by David and Shari Ogg

The Oggs

May 1990

We have to share with you what God is doing in our lives! We are very thankful for the excellent training we are involved in right now. We realize we are not just going to classes, but rather we are being equipped with vital resources for communicating God’s Word to lost tribal people.

An intense 8 weeks of phonetics is over now but we will be using what we have learned from now on. Currently we are experiencing how to learn an unknown tribal language and culture. The language is ‘Dobunesian’ and we have language learning sessions with our ‘tribal’ language helper. (actually he is one of our instructors dressed up) Soon we’ll be focusing in more on culture study.

We will be enjoying a summer break during June and July. We will spend some of June with Shari’s family and the rest visiting and traveling out to Calif. We have a few opportunities to share our ministry. PRAY that people would be challenged. Please PRAY that I find work during the month of July in Calif.

also PRAY for:

  1. Our current training
  2. Wisdom in raising Esther
  3. Our summer travels
  4. Increased monthly support

Love, David, Shari and Esther
