Pray For Gwandambi

August 7, 2012 by David and Shari Ogg

The boy pictured is the son of Rison (one of the Simbari Bible teachers) and he is very ill right now with a joint or bone infection in his leg. It is crucial for him to get out to the hospital in town where he can receive intravenous antibiotics.

Shari is treating him with oral antibiotics in the meantime. Please pray for his healing and for the weather to clear so he can get to the hospital.

During the last few days a bad weather system in the area has been keeping our little bush airstrip covered in fog and cloud. Two planes have been trying to bring in a work team from California and then fly the sick boy and his father out to town.

This morning the clouds closed in over the airstrip just 15 minutes before the plane arrived causing the plane to turn around and return to town without being able to land. It’s typical for us to get extra fog and cloud at this time of year but it’s especially bad right now because of the bigger weather system over us.

We know the One who is over it all and so we’d appreciate if you would join us in prayer to place these burdens on Him. Pray especially for Gwandambi and his family.
