Translation Of Luke Begins

February 3, 2015 by David and Shari Ogg

We are thankful for continued progress in church growth and in Bible translation. Foundational teaching for evangelism in another village which has been underway for many months has been undergoing some attacks from people opposed to the Gospel but another spot in the village was found where those interested could continue hearing the teaching. Right now they are hearing the life of Christ so they are not too far away from hearing the Gospel. There are over 15 regular attenders. David finished the preliminary draft of Matthew before Christmas and in the following weeks finished up revision and checking of some more Bible lessons in the Simbari language. Since then he has been working on the draft of Luke and is in chapter 9 as of today. Gwandambi’s leg is slowly getting stronger but it will still be a few months before they can remove the metal frame pins from his leg and complete his treatment.
